Update from Gozo

Hello from sunny Gozo.

We hope you are staying safe in these strange times. Our heart goes out to all those affected by the coronavirus pandemic, which is pretty much all of us, directly or indirectly.

Thankfully, in Malta and Gozo we have not been as hard-hit as many other countries. Probably, our small size and the fact we are an island, worked in our favour. Of course, nurses, doctors and the health authority in general, have done splendid work and continue to do so every day. We salute you.

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.
“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

At deReday, working remotely, we have continued serving our guests’ requests. Work has also continued in our accommodation, maintaining and upgrading as needed. As soon as it is safe to travel you will find beautiful holiday homes ready for you.

In the meantime here’s a little reminder of our beautiful island as seen through the lens of our drone.

The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter for us. Yesterday April 26th we had no new cases and as things stand today we have ‘only’ 160 active cases.

Anyone wishing to book a summer stay in one of our holiday homes can do so with peace of mind, knowing that any deposit paid will not be lost. Please check out our new cancellation terms here.

For now, please be safe and let’s all follow the authorities’ instructions. Together we will overcome this.
