NEWEST COVID-19 TRAVEL UPDATES

Malta is to require all travellers to present proof of recognised COVID-19 vaccine certificate to be allowed into Malta as of Wednesday, July 14.  

Children accompanying their parents will have to present a recent negative PCR test to be allowed in. Unaccompanied children will not be allowed into the country.

GOVERNMENT-ISSUED VOUCHERS

Government-issued vouchers (accommodation vouchers only) can be redeemed for your booking with deReday Holiday Homes from Monday 22 June 2021. Please note that the vouchers are valid until end of October. Unused vouchers will automatically expire.

You can choose to use ALL digital or ALL physical vouchers; we are not able to accept a mix of digital and physical for the same booking.

Procedure for the digital vouchers.

Vouchers can be redeemed only when the remaining balance for your accommodation has not been settled yet and only when you have booked directly with us, not through another portal or agent.

Contact us by email on rentals@dereday.com with the total amount of vouchers you wish to use. Only the lead guest can use the vouchers to pay for the holiday. For this reason the lead guest will need to ask the rest of the group to transfer the vouchers to his/her account by clicking the “transfer” button on the vouchers app.

In return we will send the main booker a request in order to complete payment by using the vouchers. We are only able to do this one time.

Remaining balance and voucher payment must both be settled by the remaining balance due date, we suggest you organise a couple of days before to give yourself time to collect from other members of your group, should there be any.

We are not able to redeem vouchers for bookings which are already paid in full.

Procedure for physical vouchers

Send all the vouchers you wish to use by registered post to our office address.

Once received we will deduct the amount of the vouchers from the amount due on your remaining balance.

It is important that with the vouchers you send the booking confirmation number, name of the lead guest, accommodation and dates. 

Alternatively, you can bring the vouchers to our office so we can scan them. Do note that this option is by appointment only.

As you can imagine the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our lives and business dramatically. In Malta and Gozo, the situation is calm. We have followed the health authorities’ advice and are working from home. 

Our thoughts are with those countries who have it far worse than us. Let’s all do our very best to contain the spread. A big thanks to all those working around the clock to combat the virus. You are our heroes. 

Going forward

Times are tough for the travel industry and at deReday Holiday Homes we are trying to adapt to the situation and face the daily challenges the pandemic is throwing at us. We are monitoring events and adapting to the situation on a daily basis. 

We understand the need for our guests to book with confidence and ensure their payment is protected. 

All bookings from 25 March 2020 onwards, for any stay with a check-out during 2020 and 2021 fall under these cancellation terms and conditions. This in addition to our normal terms and conditions.

Terms and conditions

  • Any payments (deposit or full balance) you make can be transferred (by credit/voucher) to another booking up to one year from your original check-out date.
  • Original booking can only be transferred in case of travel restrictions* related to COVID-19 pandemic.
  • For the same property originally booked. However, we reserve the right to move booking to an equivalent or better property at our discretion. 
  • Subject to availability.
  • Voucher/credit can be transferred to friends and family free of charge. Please contact us to change guests’ names. 
  • Stay rules, seasonal rates, etc for new bookings are to be respected. 
  • Guests must pay any difference in price should booking total be more than the voucher/credit value. 
  • No refunds are to be given if the voucher/credit value is higher than the new booking total. 
  • Vouchers/credit cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Any extras offered in your original booking are subject to availability.
  • Whilst we are taking every care to provide you with clean and safe accommodation, it’s your responsibility to ensure you adhere to the health authorities’ social distancing and other guidelines.
  • You will be required and responsible to provide all guest details on booking, failure to do so will cause your booking to be ineligible for Covid-19 Cancellation Terms
  • These terms are valid for new bookings confirmed as from 25 March 2020 onwards. We will review these dates on an ongoing basis.

* Travel restrictions are defined as follows

  • Mandatory quarantine/lock-down measures in Malta and/or guests’ home country.
  • No operating flights from guests’ home country to Malta.
