A SUNNY POOL DECK AND SPACIOUS, PRIVATE TERRACES AROUND THE HOUSE MAKE THIS AN IDEAL HOLIDAY HOME FOR A FAMILY OR GROUP OF FRIENDS

A converted farmhouse turned into a quaint holiday home featuring plenty of traditional features such as arched ceilings and patterned floor tiles. It comes with a pool and various outdoor areas.

Internal

The front door opens into a hallway that leads to an old mill room converted to a living room, appointed with sofas and equipped with a fireplace. On the ground floor you will also find the spacious kitchen that opens out to the private pool deck. On this level there is also a bedroom with adjacent bathroom. You can access the first floor either from the old outdoor staircase or by taking the spiral stairs located in the kitchen. On the first floor there are two bedrooms both with adjacent bathrooms. All bedrooms are air-conditioned.

External

The first-floor bedrooms lead to various secluded terraces and outdoor nooks distributed around the house, including a private roof terrace from where you can enjoy beautiful views. Of course, there is also the pool deck which, facing south, is well sheltered and sunny. Garden furniture is available around the pool deck and roof terrace.

Surrounding area

The village of Sannat is well known for the amazing scenery offered by the impressive Ta’ Cenc cliffs. The house is located right at the edge of the Ta’ Cenc area and if you fancy some exercise, do visit Mgarr ix-Xini bay as well. A couple of grocery stores are located within walking distance from the house.

We stayed in this property over Easter 2019 and had a very enjoyable holiday. The farmhouse is exactly as it appears on the photos with three good-sized bedrooms, very practical living areas (including 1,000+ channels on the satellite TV!), a well-equipped kitchen and a pretty outside area which is not really overlooked by surrounding properties. As parents of young children, we appreciated the fence separating the pool from the house, and the lock on the outside spiral staircase on to the roof area. The awning that sheltered the outside dining table was also a nice touch. The property is situated at the edge of one of Gozo’s smaller villages and consequently was very peaceful, although renters should be aware that the property is off a very narrow street with houses on both sides so parking in front of the property is impossible. There is plenty of parking ~50m away however. There is a small but well-stocked supermarket within walking distance and the whole of Gozo can be explored easily by car from the property. There was some residential building work at the end of the alley during our stay but hopefully this has since been completed and in any case Malta and Gozo seem to be experiencing high levels of construction currently so I’m not sure that anywhere is unaffected. The owners of the property met us on arrival to give us a full tour and were very easy to contact throughout our stay. In summary, we were very happy to have hired this property.

Located in the quaint village of Munxar, you will be close to Xlendi Bay. Amenities such as grocery stores are within walking distance.

Some well known example are hard cider from apples, perry from pears, pomegranate wine, and elderberry wine.

Some UK supermarkets have been criticised for selling “wine based” drinks, which only contain 75% wine, but which are still marketed as wine.
