The apartment definitely met our expectations. The sun deck with views looking out to sea ,along the valley combined with the hot tub were the highlight. The accommodation was well set out, spacious and cleaned to a high standard . Located just a short walk from the main town or no more than 15 minutes drive to any other places of interest on the island, was excellent and a great central base. There is a well stocked mini supermarket nearby (3 min walk or Lidl’s 5 min drive ) along with restaurants and bars close by. There was also a mini welcome pack on our arrival which was much appreciated. Make sure you check the sat nav coordinates as it’s a little tricky to find although it’s on the main street .Its not obvious from the street view what lies behind the black front door. All in all we would thoroughly recommend both the accommodation and a visit to the charming island of Gozo .
We have just come back from a 2 week stay in the apartment, and found the whole experience fabulous. The apartment is situated in a residential street, a very short walk from the town centre. The only noise we had was from the local wildlife, mainly a donkey and some cockerels nearby, and the odd night of fireworks in the surrounding area. The roof terrace was lovely for the cooling breeze after a day spent in the heat of the day – if you didn’t want the air conditioning on. The apartment had everything we needed. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the towels and bedding were changed at the end of the first week. We had an issue with the wifi, but after messaging our hosts, it was sorted within 24 hours, and we never had another issue. Gozo itself is a fabulous place to stay (much nicer than Malta in our opinion). It is very laid back, and we got everywhere we needed to by walking or taking the bus – we bought a weekly pass for the bus for €21 which we got plenty of use out of. We shall be looking at booking again very soon!
Central to living in Gozo, all the island’s road lead to this town. Beautiful squares, narrow streets, bars and cafes are all waiting to be discovered. Locals still call it Rabat, the old Arabic name. A morning coffee in St George’s Square is a must. Here you will watch the world go by and maybe join in the gossiping!
